Biomedical Survival Skills Workshops and Seminars
Careers Beyond the Academic Bench
This event will bring together a panel of highly successful Biomedical Professionals who have utilized their biomedical training to pursue very different Career Paths. The participants will briefly discuss their particular career path and how they arrived in the positions that they currently hold. Following the short presentations each speaker will meet with trainees for informational interviews.
IDP: Individual Development Plan
Individual development plans (IDPs) are a valuable tool to help trainees explore career opportunities and even more importantly to set career goals. Creating an IDP will help trainees to identify the skills and abilities necessary for career success and should facilitate communication regarding career and professional development between trainees and their mentors.
