What to Know Before You Go: An Introduction to Grant Opportunities at NIMH for Graduate and Medical School Students for Senior Postbacs

This workshop is designed for second-year Postbac IRTAs who are interested in understanding various NIMH grant opportunities for graduate and medical school.

This presentation and discussion is led by Dr. Ashley Smith, a Program Officer from the NIMH Office of Research Training and Career Development.

Second-year Postbacs will:

• Learn how to navigate the grant process at NIMH as a graduate or medical student
• Understand what grant opportunities are available to you
• Learn about important resources to assist in the application process
• Understand the timeline of when to apply for grants

Attending this workshop will assist Postbac IRTAs in planning ahead for applying to NIMH grant opportunities during graduate or medical school. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance from a NIMH Program Officer.

This workshop is held annually in May.
