NIMH IRP Outstanding Mentor Award
This award is intended to recognize outstanding mentorship by an NIMH investigator. Fellows are asked to nominate mentors who have contributed significantly to their professional growth and development.
Eligibility: NIMH IRP Scientists in the following categories:
Tenured and Tenure Track Investigators
Staff Scientists and Clinicians
Nominating Package:
- Fellow’s Nomination Letter (1-2 pages) – Group nominations are welcome
- Fellows nominating mentors might want to consider referring to the NIH brochure entitled: A Guide to Training and Mentoring in the Intramural Research Program at NIH for the 6 points that outline training program principles and criteria for good mentoring.
Awards are announced at the NIMH IRP Fellows’ Scientific Training Day event each year.
