Systems Neuroscience Imaging Resource

Training

Introductory and Customized Training Available

Training is available to all NIMH intramural investigators including trainees, staff, and contractors. Training for non-NIMH affiliated users may be considered on an individual basis. Introductory training is available for tissue processing (tissue sectioning, clearing, and in situ hybridization), image acquisition on all SNIR equipment, and image analysis on commercial software. Anyone interested should contact Dr. Williams Avram to obtain the project description and use agreement forms. Based on the project description, users will be provided with individualized training specific to the skill and equipment required. Introductory training policies vary based on the hardware and will be provided upon receipt of the project description. Advanced training and continued support are available upon request. Users are encouraged to meet with SNIR staff to plan complicated experiments, ones that require customization of image acquisition or analysis, or integration of multiple procedures.
