Tyler Torrico, MD - Clinical Fellow

Dr. Torrico is a clinical fellow in the noninvasive neuromodulation unit and an interventional psychiatrist who provides treatments with electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and intravenous ketamine. He graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his medical internship at UCLA-Kern Medical. He completed his psychiatry residency at the National Institute of Mental Health and is a Minority Fellowship alumni of the American Psychiatric Association. In the wake of the opioid epidemic, Dr. Torrico received a federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA), which funded research to train more psychiatry residents for medication-assisted treatments for opioid use disorder. He has received multiple research awards, including the John Renner Award from the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Torrico's research interests include improving clinical outcomes for neuromodulation therapies while increasing their accessibility and reducing healthcare disparities.
