Joshua A. Gordon, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)

Joshua A. Gordon, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), has been promoted to Fellow status by the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP). The announcement was made by Joseph Coyle, M.D., ACNP Secretary. In addressing Dr. Gordon, Coyle said, “Your advanced status provides new opportunities for you to contribute to the College and to share your expertise in additional ways with the ACNP.”

The promotion to Fellow status is based on both scientific reputation and contributions to the College through committee work and involvement in the Annual Meeting program. “It is a privilege to be promoted to Fellow status,” said Dr. Gordon. “The ACNP provides leading brain scientists with the opportunity to advance and promote various scientific disciplines in the study of the brain’s effect on behavior, with a focus on mental illness of all forms.”
