Program in Technologies to Understand Cells and Circuits

The Program in Technologies to Understand Cells and Circuits supports the development of novel tools and technologies for basic and applied research for studying brain mechanisms and behaviors at the cell and circuit level. This includes the development of both technologies and hardware.

Examples include: The development of novel technologies or innovative methods for imaging, mapping, accessing, and manipulating specific brain cell types via molecular or genetic based approaches, the development of new pipelines for optical and circuit data collection and analysis, and the improvement of existing technologies to increase specificity or temporal and spatial resolution for in vivo measurements or to access cells and circuits in multiple species.
